🍓 The Strawberry Lemonade My Kids Can’t Stop Drinking

There are a few recipes that just hit—the kind your kids ask for every single day, the kind that feels special but is secretly so simple. This fresh strawberry lemonade is exactly that.

We’ve been making this on repeat, and honestly… I don’t see us stopping anytime soon.

It started as a little experiment with fresh strawberries, and it turned into the most refreshing, naturally sweet, perfectly summery drink. The best part? It feels fun and elevated, but it takes almost no effort.

✨ What Makes It Different

Instead of just mixing strawberries into lemonade, we freeze them into ice cubes first. As they slowly melt, they turn your drink into this beautiful, fresh strawberry lemonade right in your glass.

It’s one of those little touches that makes it feel extra special—without actually being complicated.

🍓 Strawberry Ice Cubes

Ingredients:

  • Fresh strawberries (stems and all!)

Instructions:

  1. Add whole strawberries (yes, stems included!) to a blender.

  2. Blend until smooth.

  3. Pour the puree into an ice cube mold.

  4. Freeze until solid.

Store extra cubes in the freezer so you always have them ready to go.

🍋 Fresh Lemonade Recipe

If you want to make it from scratch (highly recommend), here’s our go-to:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)

  • ¾ to 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 4 cups cold water

Instructions:

  1. In a pitcher, stir the lemon juice and sugar together until dissolved.

  2. Add cold water and mix well.

  3. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.

  4. Chill before serving.

Shortcut: Store-bought lemonade works perfectly too if you want to keep it extra simple.

🥤 How to Assemble

  1. Add strawberry ice cubes to a glass.

  2. Pour lemonade over the cubes to fill.

  3. Garnish with:

    • A slice of lemon

    • Half of a fresh strawberry

Watch as the cubes slowly melt and transform your drink into the most beautiful strawberry lemonade.

☀️ Why We Love It

  • It’s fresh and naturally sweet

  • It feels fun and a little fancy (my kids LOVE it)

  • It’s perfect for warm days and strawberry season

  • You can prep ahead with the cubes

  • It works for everything—from everyday afternoons to summer gatherings

My kids are completely obsessed with this, and honestly… so am I. If you make it, don’t be surprised if it becomes your go-to summer drink too.

Tip: Keep a batch of strawberry cubes in the freezer all season long—you’ll thank yourself later. 🍓🍋
