Santa Waffle

Santa Waffle with Fruit

Santa Waffle

Festive Santa Waffle (Gluten-Free & Kid-Approved!)

If you’re looking for a quick holiday breakfast your kids will actually get excited about, this Santa waffle is the perfect December morning win. It starts with a gluten-free frozen waffle (I used Trader Joe’s!) and turns into the cutest little Santa face using nothing more than fresh fruit. No cooking skills required — just a few minutes and a little creativity.

This is such a fun way to add holiday magic to an ordinary school-morning breakfast, and it’s also a great weekend tradition to make together as a family.

Ingredients

  • 1 gluten-free frozen waffle (or any waffle you love)

  • 1 banana, sliced

  • fresh raspberries

  • 2 blueberries

  • Optional: a small strawberry slice or raspberry piece for the “smile”

How to Make a Santa Waffle

Step 1: Toast Your Waffle

Start by toasting the waffle until it’s warm and slightly crisp. A crisp waffle helps the fruit stay in place.

Step 2: Create Santa’s Beard

Slice a banana into rounds and arrange them around the bottom half of the waffle to form Santa’s fluffy beard. Add a few slices to the sides for his hair.

Step 3: Add the Red Hat

Place a handful of raspberries across the top of the waffle to build Santa’s hat. Let the berries spill over slightly to give it that soft, cozy hat look.

Step 4: Make Santa’s Face

Use two blueberries for the eyes and a raspberry or raspberry half for the nose.
For the mouth, you can use a tiny slice of raspberry or strawberry to make a sweet little smile.

Step 5: Serve Your Holiday Magic

That’s it! A festive Santa breakfast in under five minutes. Serve immediately with syrup, butter, and a glass of milk and watch your kids light up.

Why This Works

This recipe is quick, gluten-free, filled with fresh fruit, and perfect for busy parents who still want a little holiday fun at the breakfast table. It’s adorable, nourishing, and totally December-approved.
