Santa Claus Oatmeal

Santa Oatmeal

A Festive, Kid-Friendly Breakfast

If your kids love oatmeal as much as mine do, this adorable Santa oatmeal bowl is such a fun and easy way to make breakfast feel festive during the holiday season. We eat oatmeal for breakfast before school a lot, and this holiday version takes just a minute to assemble — but it brings so much joy to the table!

I use our favorite One Degree Organic Sprouted Rolled Oats, which are gluten-free and cook up perfectly soft and creamy. They’re a staple in our house because sprouted oats are easier to digest, packed with fiber, and make such a nourishing base for a busy school-day morning.

You only need a few simple toppings to turn your warm bowl of oats into the cutest Santa face: fresh berries, shredded coconut, and a single marshmallow.
I used Dandies marshmallows, which are both vegan and gluten-free — and they hold their shape beautifully for the Santa “hat.”

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked One Degree Organic Foods Sprouted Rolled Oats

  • Strawberries, halved

  • Blueberries

  • Shredded coconut

  • 1 Dandies marshmallow

  • Milk of choice

  • Optional add-ins: chia seeds, hemp seeds, chopped nuts, or a drizzle of honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Prepare oats according to package directions.

  2. Spoon the warm oatmeal into a bowl.

  3. Use halved strawberries to form Santa’s hat

  4. Add two blueberries for the eyes.

  5. Place a raspberry or strawberry piece for the nose and mouth.

  6. Sprinkle shredded coconut along the bottom to create Santa’s beard.

  7. Top the hat with one marshmallow to finish the look.

  8. Pour milk over the oats before serving, or add extra on the side. Enjoy!

Why We Love This Breakfast

This Santa oatmeal is festive, but it also checks all the boxes for a balanced morning meal:

High in Fiber

Sprouted rolled oats are rich in soluble fiber, which helps keep kids full, supports digestion, and offers steady energy throughout the morning. Fiber also helps regulate blood sugar — an important benefit on busy school days.

Naturally Nutrient-Dense

The berries add antioxidants, vitamin C, and natural sweetness without dyes or added sugar. Coconut offers healthy fats, and adding milk gives an extra boost of protein.

Simple, Real Ingredients

Everything in this bowl is made from whole foods you likely already have on hand. No dyes, no artificial flavors — just nourishing ingredients arranged in a fun way.

Flexible + Customizable

Add chia seeds for extra fiber and omega-3s, chopped nuts for crunch, or hemp seeds for protein. You can easily adapt this recipe for allergies, preferences, or dietary needs.

A Cozy Holiday Breakfast Kids Love

There’s something magical about creating fun food for kids during the holidays — especially when it’s simple enough to make on a weekday morning. This Santa oatmeal has become one of our favorite December traditions, and it always puts a smile on my kids’ faces.

Save this idea for a cozy Christmas morning or any day you want breakfast to feel a little extra festive.
